C.A.P. Part 2 and 3

So to continue with the Channeled Art Project I have two more designs to add. It's strange to see how the designs come out as this is not how I typically draw... not a single rose, dragon or skull in sight!

Channeled Art Project, color image and black and white image created to encourage the release of old emotions
"Release"

I don't intent to get into much detail with the post made on Instagram back in August BUT I will say the general theme was "release," complete with a color and black and white version. This was deeply personal and the process was cathartic. The creation of this felt like I was transmuting something not-so-great into something beautiful. Honestly, every time I look at it I get that reminder in my brain. Some parts of this life can be very jagged little pills to swallow but I know there's a reason for all of it. When you're honest enough and brave enough you can turn it into your art, in whatever form that may be.

Rebirth, pheonix rising, and peace...a few of the words used to describe the next one (below). The theme I was channeling for this was "taking your power back," so you can see where rebirth comes in. This is a biggie for anyone who identifies as an empath because this means BOUNDARIES, not only with others but with yourself as well. All too often we give our energy away to the point of being drained. Helping others means creating balance, an energetic resonance. We can create balance by lifting others higher, not allowing our own energy drop to meet them where they are. I'm not preaching this, I'm learning it myself. Old habits are hard to break!

"Take your power back"

Another important step for taking your power back is by giving yourself what you were expecting to recieve from others. Forgive yourself for the mistakes you made when you didn't know better, or you did know better but were having a crappy day. And of course follow your true passions, consciously creating in whatever form feels good to you.

So what's next for this little project? I'm not sure yet what the next theme will be however I may be gathering some symbols or designs that could be used for more than a drawing or painting. I plan to also make a post dedicated specifically to the break down of this entire process and show you what the initial sketches look like (sometimes with words included). Some of you have inquired about having a design created from your own Akashic records which sounds really fun and will likely be offering this once I figure out how to fascilitate that in a way that makes sense.

I'm so grateful for all who have been totally supportive of all of this stuff, particularly because it so different from what I normally create. The territory is somewhat uncharted, for me at least.
